Active in the Community


Following the recent announcement easing restrictions to Step 1 of the Federal Government’s 3-Step Framework for a COVIDSafe Australia, Active Monash is excited to launch our Active in the Community outdoor program.

We will continue to offer free classes on our virtual timetable, and for those who want to get outside we can now provide FREE small group fitness classes in parks throughout Monash. 

From Monday 18 May,  Active Monash will be providing complimentary outdoor group fitness classes up to three times a day throughout the week. Classes will include Tai Chi, Zumba and bootcamp-style programs.

See the timetable below to sign up for a session. 

All bookings open on Sunday at 8am the week of classes and will close at 5pm the day before, or earlier if capacity is reached.

With restrictions in place, classes are strictly limited to 12 people* only, so get in quick!

 Class Descriptions
 Bootcamp  Functionally focussed strength and conditioning using body weight resistance in a range of formats. 
Zumba Mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. 
Tai Chi An ancient Chinese martial art that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation in both body and mind.
